My thoughts on an Artist or artistic experience

My recent experience observing an Artist was intriguing and interesting.  I was able to watch her talk about how she was inspired to do the type of art that she displays remotely from home.  I was not able to hear a lot of it due to the video being shared far away, but I believe I was able to hear for the most part.
Her name is Lydia Boddie-Rice.  She is a very interesting lady that spoke very highly of the artistry that she does and why.  Most of her art is very unique and  done using material and a medium glue which makes them very attractive and interesting.   She explained that her method of technique was by using people and their emotions to create her pictures.  She also suggested using your own thoughts and memories.  One of her pictures was a woman's face with a recipe next to her.  I believe she mentioned this was inspired by her grandmother if I am not mistaken.  Like I mentioned earlier, the volume at times made it difficult to hear a lot of what she was saying.

I was amazed at the idea of using material vs. paint on her art.  I would have never thought of doing that and find that it inspired me a great deal to try that.  I like it because it seems by using material instead of other techniques, it is more forgiving and uses less product as well.
I think it would be more successful because it is very unique and not seen in a lot of galleries or stores.
I would share with her that she inspired me to try this technique and being that it is different, it may attract more buyers rather than just the everyday norm that is everywhere now.
