What sparked my interest in crafting

Hello everyone!  I want to tell you a little about myself and how I first began on this path.
I started my crafting journey many years ago.  I think I was inspired by my mother and sister who enjoyed sewing.  I never had the patience for sewing, but always wanted to learn.
My sister's in-laws opened up a store and invited me to add some of my crafts to the inventory and so it began.
I have experienced with a number of different avenues such as painting, working with wood, sublimating on different surfaces to cutting out designs using my laser engraver machine.  I love to try new ideas and it can be so satisfying to see the results and other times frustrating but I plug through until I complete the project. I have seen many changes in my abilities over the last 32 years of crafting.  I look back at the photos I took of the various crafts I have done and think wow, I did that or wow, that's bad but it is fun to reminisce.
My husband and I have gone to many craft shows and have seen many talented crafters doing totally different crafts as we do.  My husband and I do crafts together.  He is a disabled veteran and enjoys creating different types of birdhouses and is very good at it.
This is my second time going to Finger Lakes Community College.  I got my first degree in 2021 for Business Administration and now I am working on my Graphic Design degree.  It is a totally new adventure for me with some ups and downs.  I try to keep telling myself, I have got this!
I look at all the inventory I have now and think to myself, I will never use all of this now that I am getting older but I am hoping to pass this desire onto my granddaughter so that she can get all the enjoyment I did over the years creating!
